Despite the great, great loss felt following Cory Monteith’s tragic death, Fox’s Glee family has come together to grieve and honor the actor’s memory.
That said, Jane Lynch stopped by Jay Leno’s Tonight Show on Wednesday and said a few words in remembrance of her beloved co-star (above).
When asked by Jay, she said:
“Well, Cory was one of the biggest hearts and was a real bright light. He was one of those guys that knew he was rarefied air from the gifts this show, this wonderful show gave us. He was always aware that it was a gift. He was quite generous and one of those adventurous types of people. You know, I always admired how he’d get up and fly to Mexico, throw parties for his friends. I don’t think he left one day un-lived. He was a real bright light in our family. We’ve lost a really great guy.”
Though the actress choked up throughout her response, she managed to add that Cory went above and beyond for his fans:
├óΓé¼┼ôHe once flew across the country on his own nickel to meet with a sick kid whose last wish was to meet him… That was the kind of guy he was. Just a real giver.├óΓé¼┬¥
Beautifully said, Jane. He really was a gem.
While we all continue to grieve, our thoughts remain with Cory’s loved ones and the entire Glee family.
