Eddie Murphy has agreed to reprise his role as detective Axel Foley for Beverly Hills Cop 4!
It’s been nearly three decades since the funny man first appeared as the unconventional crime solver in 1984!
Brett Ratner has also been tapped to direct the next installment of the film series.
The 3 previous BHC flicks collectively banked more than $840 million dollars and producers are hoping that fans are still interested in laughing at all of Axel’s antics!
However, a Beverly Hill Cop TV series didn’t get the green light last season after CBS produced a pilot that was ultimately passed on. Eddie Murphy was involved in that project but did NOT star in it.
Hopefully having Eddie back on the big screen will be a big box office success!
