They don’t call it the wild world of sports for no reason!
Matt Joyce, of the Tampa Bay Rays, was taking part in batting practice on Thursday, which wasn’t going as perfectly as planned.
After swinging at a pitch from the pitching machine, the ball fouled and hit the top of the cage, bouncing back into the loading slot!
So, Joyce had another ball thrown at him without any warning! Needless to say, he missed the second one.
Joyce looked pretty unphased, so maybe this has happened before? Either way, it’s crazy!
