This is just horrible.
We hate to report that Glee actress Becca Tobin, who plays Kitty Wilde, has lost her boyfriend to a sudden and unexpected passing.
The two were reportedly in Philadelphia together where Matt Bendik was on a business trip. He was a nightclub owner as he co-owned AV Nightclub in Los Angeles and was Director of Operations at DBA Nightclub.
Becca, 28, and Matt, 35, had been out with friends on Wednesday night where everything seemed normal.
Unfortunately, Matt’s body was found by a maid on Thursday afternoon in the hotel room. Paramedics reportedly responded to the hotel around 1 p.m., and he was declared dead shortly after.
As of now, his death is being called “sudden” as there are no signs of foul play or suicide. It’s unknown where Becca was at the time when his body was discovered.
Matt is apparently not known as much of a partier among his friends, who are all shocked and devastated by this sudden news.
This death is all the more eerie as Sunday will mark the one-year anniversary of Cory Monteith‘s sudden and tragic passing where he was found in a hotel room in Vancouver.
Our thoughts are with Becca and all of Matt’s loved ones during this extremely difficult time.
