Say it ain’t so, Sheldon!
On Tuesday, production on season 8 of The Big Bang Theory was delayed due to unsettled contract negotiations with Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting, Simon Helberg, and Kunal Nayyar Mayim.
The standoff is over the cast’s demands for a cool $1 mill per episode…a MAJOR jump from their $350 grand salaries of previous seasons.
Though the show was just renewed for 3 more seasons, many of the cast members’ contracts expired at the end of season 7, which is what spurred all the negotiation drama.
Warner Brothers released the statement:
“Due to ongoing contract negotiations, production on The Big Bang Theory├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥which was originally scheduled to begin today├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥has been postponed.”
We know fans of The Big Bang Theory want their beloved sitcom back ASAP, so we hope the cast agrees on their salaries soon!
