We guess they don’t give a shiz that he cheats on his wife as long as he keeps raking in the dough!
A number of companies that Tiger Woods is affiliated with are standing by the pro golfer as he deals with his cheating scandal!
EA Sports, Nike, Gillette and Gatorade have no plans to sever business ties with Tiger. Editor at large of Sports Business Daily Terry Lefton has what sounds like a legit theory as to why:
“If he were a Disney spokesman, it would be a different story. None of these are really family-oriented type of sponsorships. If you’re a sponsor you’re concerned, but no overly so. This is the same America that has shown it will forgive. From [President Bill Clinton] we’ve discovered that Americans are fairly willing to forgive in this area.”
And other experts are convinced that this will all blow over once Tiger gets back in the game and winning tournaments again.
Although Tiger did not attend the Chevron World Challenge this week, he is going to be a contender in the PGA tour next year. Dan Wetzel of Yahoo! Sports says:
“There are a lot of people who really don’t care about someone’s personal life and there are others that are interested in the story as the juicy details come out, but six months from now they want to see him play golf. Winning is the best medicine.”
Good point, but he’ll probably lose a fair amount of female fans!
