Maybe you guys should have checked the books before you went ahead and fired Conan O’Brien!
In the fourth quarter, profits fell 30% at NBC Universal, due to disappointing DVD sales, dismal movie releases, securing rights to NFL programing, and “new programming investments,” otherwise known as Jay Leno’s one hour shit show.
Operating profit at Universal fell $200 million, while revenue declined by more than $400 million.
And end to shitastic year! Congrats NBC!
