Eau de Adam has a very nice ring to it!
Despite once tweeting that celeb fragrances should be punishable by death, Adam Levine is moving full steam ahead with his fragrance project.
The Maroon 5 frontman’s eponymous scents for men and women are set to launch in Macy’s department stores this month, and come packaged in bottles shaped like microphones.
How cute!
Adam said:
“I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want it to be another bulls–t celebrity fragrance that I was hocking, that I didn├óΓé¼Γäót believe in. At the end of the day, I can definitely say I wanted to change the perception of that. On paper, I├óΓé¼Γäóm not a fan of the [genre], but I got excited having conversations with ID Perfumes.”
Yeah, that’s what they ALL say!
The women’s fragrance is a floral woody scent with notes of Australian sandalwood, Jasmine petals, and spice, while the men’s version is more citrusy and features notes of mandarin, grapefruit, and lemongrass.
The 33-year-old seems to be taking the venture very seriously. He even sorta compared himself to Tom Ford, saying:
“I wanted to do something understated and elegant ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ something that people I revere in that world, like Tom Ford, would do, and something I├óΓé¼Γäód be attracted to. I like basic fragrances. I didn├óΓé¼Γäót want to smell like a department store. And there├óΓé¼Γäós an intimacy level that you have to think about. You don├óΓé¼Γäót really want someone to smell you unless they├óΓé¼Γäóre really close to you.”
Personally, we wouldn’t at all mind smelling like Adam!
