Meghan Markle went out of her way to help a young victim of the LA fires!
Taking to her Instagram on Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex shared the incredible story of how she teamed up with Billie Eilish to help a 15-year-old girl feel a little less heartbroken after the city’s wildfires last month. The 43-year-old recalled meeting the teen and her mom while touring the aftermath of the Eaton Fire in Altadena.

They were going through the ashes of their home looking for anything that survived, and the teen was desperately hoping her Billie Eilish t-shirt would still be there. Meghan shared:
“Her mom shared something with me and said that when they came back to see their house for the first time, which is as we were meeting them, [and] that all that [the teen had] been looking for in her home was the t-shirt from the Billie Eilish concert that she had just gone to that she left in the washing machine or the dryer. And, of course, they now see their home and the washing machine and the dryer… they’re not there anymore.”
While Meghan did not know the singer, she was determined to get this girl a new shirt and sent out a “voice note” to all her well-connected friends, including Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, to make it happen. Thanks to her pals, she was able to eventually get to Billie’s people — and hook the girl up with a TON of new swag and even a signed vinyl! Incredible!
Prince Harry’s wife concluded the video by encouraging everyone to continue supporting those affected by the fires and by thanking the firefighters who worked tirelessly to keep people safe during the crisis. Ch-ch-check it out:
Awesome!
