Alex Minsky is an inspiration — and a hot one at that!
After losing his leg as a result of a roadside bomb in Afghanistan 4 years ago, the Marine returned to Southern California and fell into a depression after his brother suddenly passed away.
Using alcohol to cope, the now 24-year-old received 3 DUIs in 3 months before realizing he needed to change, so he did.
Rather than drinking, Alex threw himself into the gym, which is where he met a photographer who asked to photograph him, and the rest is history.
The model Marine hopes to land a gig with Calvin Klein or Nike, and with that physique, we think he stands a serious chance!
But if that doesn’t happen, at the very least he hopes his story touches people, saying:
“I just want people to be inspired by me. I want people to look at me and not give up. Not quit.”
Wise words!
