What happens in New York definitely doesn’t stay in New York, especially on Teen Mom OG!
Monday night’s episode was basically ALL about Amber Portwood and Matt Baier as the couple got into yet another fight while in the Big Apple for press! Not only did the momma of one blast her fianc├â┬⌐ for carrying around pills, but she called off their November wedding!

So, how exactly did the two reach their breaking point in their relationship?? Let us explain…
Ahead of their NYC trip, Amber suggested she and Matt see a marriage counselor ahead of their big day. Unfortunately for her, Matt didn’t get the point. Things only got worse once they got to New York after the 27-year-old found out her fianc├â┬⌐, who is a former drug addict, gave Catelynn Lowell a Xanax.
Amber spilled:
“I found out Matt gave her a Xanax and I’m freaking out because he shouldn’t have any if he’s clean.”
And she later told him they were no longer getting married:
“You’ve made more than one fucking mistake. I’m not doing it.”
According to him though:
“My buddy gave me a Xanax in case Amber needed it on the plane. ├óΓé¼┬ª She thinks ├óΓé¼╦£you’re back on drugs.’ ├óΓé¼┬ª I swear I’m not. ├óΓé¼┬ª It wouldn’t have been in my pocket; it would have been in my stomach.”
Later, he furiously told a producer:
“Now there’s rumors, everybody’s talking about how Matt was fucked up yesterday and that he’s back on drugs. She wakes me up this morning, ├óΓé¼╦£We’re not getting married. You’re a fucking junkie.’ I’m done with this… I did not fucking deserve what happened to me yesterday. ├óΓé¼┬ª Give me five minutes with the press. I’ll tell them what she’s really like.”
Confiding in her Teen Mom costars though, Amber was just as unhappy:
“He’d be lucky right now if we got married. ├óΓé¼┬ª I have a couple decisions I just need to make. ├óΓé¼┬ª I think he has his own issues he needs to deal with.”
As we previously reported, the two are currently “working things out” as they continue to live together! Interesting…
The rest of the cast had much less drama on Monday’s episode.
Farrah Abraham continued to cut things off with ex Simon Saran, all while also trying to convince her daughter Sophia to take acting lessons.
Maci Bookout on the other hand threw husband Taylor McKinney a surprise party, where he received the most heartwarming, handmade card from Bentley:
“You are the best stepdad ever.”
