Chris Daughtry

An Unlikely Hero

We’re half-way through the year already, can you believe it????
Of all the people to release albums this year it was an American Idol castoff who scored the biggest hit.
Chris Daughtry, who came in fourth last year, has the biggest selling record in the U.S. in 2007 so far.
With over three million albums moved, he’s way outsold Idol winner Taylor Hicks, whose career is almost over, and runner-up Katharine McPhee, who is resorting to posing for the cover of Stuff magazine.
Daughtry’s album has also been certified triple platinum. It is the fifth best-selling digital release of all time and the fastest-selling rock debut in the 16-year history of the Billboard album chart’s sales tracking system.
Congrats to the underdog!
