It’s never easy to lose a family member.
Especially one that you loved so very much.
Our hearts go out to Ariana Grande who recently announced some very sad news on Twitter that she has lost her grandfather.
In a series of beautiful tweets in honor of her grandfather, the 21-year-old opened up on what her grandfather meant to her and how he helped her become the amazing young woman that she is today.
Here’s what she wrote:

Ariana Grande also shared a beautiful photo on Instagram of her when she was just a baby and her grandfather together when he was a younger man.
The man – dubbed by Ariana’s fans as “Grandpa Grande” – was actually named Frank Grande and was 90-years-old.
We’re not sure what the exact cause of his death was but Ariana had previously tweeted about his heroic fight against cancer which the star revealed in a tweet that “his cancer is at bay but the treatment (chemo + radiation) really took a toll on him… he’s havin a lil trouble.”
Our hearts and sympathies go out to Ariana and all of the Grande family as they deal with this tremendous loss in their lives.
Maybe they can find some solace in the fact that they were able to know and love this obviously wonderful man.
