Bella Thorne is grabbing the bull by its horns and taking back her power after being blackmailed in a scary, unnerving situation.
The 21-year-old actress took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal her own nude pictures — yes, really — in response to being blackmailed by a stranger who apparently hacked into her accounts and stole some of her private, and sexually explicit, pictures and videos.

The newly-minted author opted to post the screenshots of the text messages she received from the alleged blackmail artist, as well as ultimately making the decision to publish her own topless pics to get ahead of the situation. It certainly must be a serious, scary, and unnerving situation — but Bella took charge of it, and effectively took all of the hacker’s power away.

Along with the screenshots and blackmail text messages, Bella also shared her own message about everything, writing to her fans — and really, to the blackmailer — the following words (below):
“For the last 24 hours I have been threatened with my own nudes I feel gross, I feel watched, I feel someone has taken something from me that I only wanted one special person to see. For too long I let a man take advantage of me over and over and I’m [expletive] sick of it, I’m putting this out because it’s MY DECISION NOW U DONT GET TO TAKE YET ANOTHER THING FROM ME. I can sleep tonight better knowing I took my power back. U can’t control my life u never will. In other words here’s my boobies. So here [expletive] u, and the last 24 hours I have been crying instead of celebrating my book while doing my book press. Oh yea, the fbi will be at your house shortly, so watch. your Mother. [Expletive]. Back.”
Wow! Obviously, it’s an ugly situation all around, but good for Bella for taking back all of her power from that hacker!!!
The actress and author is currently celebrating the success of her book, which details some pretty significant and serious incidents and moments in her past, and it seems like she’s in a healthy place to deal with all this drama. Thankfully, as Bella alludes to, it appears law enforcement is already on the case here, too.
