Bella Thorne never thought there’d be so much actual f**king on the set of her directorial debut!
In a new video on Pornhub’s “Behind the Scenes” YouTube series, the former Disney star revealed she collaborated with the website to direct her very first short — a rather artsy adult film called Her & Him — as part of Pornhub’s Visionaries Director’s Series.
The 21-year-old director said she had shopped the project around a few years ago, but couldn’t find a production house brave enough to take on her edgy vision — that is, until Pornhub came along.

As for the inspiration behind the upcoming short adult film, Bella explained:
“What inspired me to do this movie was thinking about this relationship between a male and a female and this fight over dominance and how much that relates to us in our general world, besides just a sexual scenario. My vision behind the story was basically creating these two dynamic characters that could switch off between dominant and submissive.”
According to the press release, Her & Him follows “an edgy twenty-something guy who stumbles upon a surprise text in his girlfriend’s phone, interrupting their morning routine and spinning everything into an out-of-control sexually charged encounter.”
It stars adult entertainers Abella Danger and Small Hands and also features music from Thorne’s ex, rapper Mod Sun.
While she’s certainly proud of the final product, Bella’s vision was initially quite different. She recalled:
“My initial idea was to create a Christmas horror movie, but instead I made a beautiful, ethereal film. I’m lucky that Pornhub came on and produced this with me. They believed in my vision and weren’t scared to jump in with me.”
Pornhub’s always ready and willing to experiment, as viewers will know!
Corey Price, Vice President of the website, expressed excitement over Throne’s new project — which he described as a “a modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have an unbridled sexual longing for each other.” He said in a press release:
“We’re proud to announce our collaboration with Bella Thorne for the next installment of our Visionaries Director’s Club. Her & Him is a modernistic, sexually explicit Romeo and Juliet-like depiction of two star-crossed lovers who have an unbridled sexual longing for each other. Their love is reckless and dangerous and transcends time and space.”

Pornhub’s VP continued:
“Bella’s creativity and imagination is personified through the course of the film, as she takes viewers on a journey of passion and desire. Make sure you check it out on Pornhub Premium and keep an eye on our Visionaries Director’s Club as we continue to create more varied content that will appeal to our fast-growing and increasingly diverse audience.”
Wow. You know we’re in the golden age of streaming when Pornhub is producing artsy vignettes.
Her & Him will make its debut at The Oldenburg Film Festival in Germany, which will take place from September 11 to September 15. The film will later be available to Pornhub Premium subscribers for $9.99 a month. (Watch out, Netflix.)
