Bethenny Frankel was ready to take Tyra Banks to reality TV court on Thursday after hearing the former supermodel was banning Real Housewives from stepping out on the Dancing with the Stars dance floor! But we bet the RHONY alum didn’t expect to have to walk back her criticism so quickly!

So, how did this feud even get started?? Let’s rewind…
A source reportedly close to Miz Banks told OK! Magazine earlier this week:
“Tyra is the new boss and made it clear that she didn’t want any more Housewives in her ballroom. She thinks the show needs to aim higher and only book the ladies after everyone else has passed. Several ladies from the Bravo franchise have already made it clear that they would love to put on their dancing shoes, but Tyra doesn’t want any of them right now.”
Sounds like a ban to us!! Though what could these Bravo personalities have done to get on the host’s bad side?
The insider confessed Tyra isn’t looking for bad blood — she’s just more concerned with ratings:
“Tyra has never been a fan of the Housewives, but the real reason she doesn’t want them on her show is that Bethenny Frankel, NeNe Leakes and Teresa Giudice do not make headlines anymore. Tyra wants reality stars like Carole Baskin from Tiger King — not a decade-old franchise that no one talks about anymore. If Tyra thought for one minute that the Housewives would get her show ratings, she would welcome them to the dance floor in a second.”
Ooh, harsh!
The name-drop prompted a response from the Skinnygirl founder, who tweeted out some choice words for Banks on Thursday night:
“Good to know @tyrabanks has clumped me in her no more housewives mandate on @DancingABC. Also good to know-their casting director Deena, who I
has asked me to be on that show multiple x in the last decade. I’m also no longer a housewife, but nobody is bigger than the game Tyra.”

Regardless of her thought process, the 49-year-old quickly deleted her tweet, following up with:
“I deleted that last post Bc I really like & have a great relationship with Deena Katz from #DWTS. If @tyrabanks wants to come on my podcast, she is welcome anytime as she has built a successful brand on her own in her own way. #justbwithbethenny.”
Well, that was quick! What made her walk it back? Sounds like maybe someone reached out…

Speaking of which, what does Tyra have to say about the supposed ban?? In a statement to Page Six, the current DWTS host’s longtime publicist Elana Rose of the Rose Group denied the entire thing!
“This is 100 percent untrue. She’s a huge fan of the ‘Housewives’ and everyone knows Tyra is a businesswoman first. As a businesswoman, why would she say anything against the ‘Housewives’? She has nothing to do with casting.”
DUH!
Not only that, Rose said her client was very much in the Real Housewives business:
“[Tyra] just tried to get one of her really good friends on the Housewives! She watches the shows. She loves them.”
Banks doesn’t just love the Housewives; the 46-year-old is apparently a big fan of the network in general:
“She loves Andy [Cohen]. She’s been on Watch What Happens Live several times. She’s a huge fan of the Clubhouse.”
Maybe we’ll hear Tyra on Bethenny’s podcast sometime soon to clear all this up? Maybe even prove there’s still a place for Housewives on DWTS?
We highly doubt Bethenny will be competing for the Mirrorball trophy anytime soon, but if she did, she would be following in the footsteps of Lisa Rinna, Erika Girardi, Lisa Vanderpump, NeNe, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, and Kim Fields who have all appeared in the past.
Plus, how could we forget that Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille‘s claim to fame was winning the third season of the Tyra-hosted America’s Next Top Model?!
