The world is still coming to terms with the devastating loss of Nelson Mandela, and many have already sent out their condolences to his family.
However, perhaps none of them spent as much time with the inspirational leader as Former U.S. President Bill Clinton, who’s time in office lined up perfectly with Nelson’s presidency in South Africa.
The former Head of State took to Twitter to remember his old friend with a photo (above) and wrote a short, but sweet message:
“I will never forget my friend Madiba.”
We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the world’s most compassionate and influential leaders, and our hearts go out to his family and friends.
You will always be in our hearts, Nelson Mandela.
