Bill Murray is reminiscing on the good old days with Bruce Willis! Not Bruce the movie star… Bruce the lowly NBC page!
On Monday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, the Caddyshack alum took some time to look back at his career alongside Bruce. After explaining the pair became friends on the set of Wes Anderson‘s Moonrise Kingdom, he said:
“Bruce Willis is a good guy. A f**king good guy. He was a good friend, and really, always understood.”
Awww! But being co-stars isn’t the first time they met!

Bill first met the RED actor when he was a part of NBC’s page program, which is essentially just a gig to gain experience in the showbiz field:
“Bruce Willis was a Page at NBC when I was on Saturday Night Live. His job was to come and refill — this sounds like insane s**t, but — his job was to go to the dressing rooms and refill the M&Ms and the pretzels in the actors’ rooms.”
OMG! From getting actors snacks to starring in iconic films like Die Hard… what a career!
The Ghostbusters alum said Bruce even remembered him from his SNL days! Bill got choked up as he revealed:
“I remember when I met him after he was already successful, he said, ‘You and Gilda [Radner] were nice to me’. And I thought, ‘Okay, that’s — I’m good with this guy.’ He was a good guy.”
So sweet… See the clip for yourself around the 2:07 mark (below):
