Strangely, there have been some mixed responses to the idea of an all-new Ghostbusters team made up completely of women.
We don't think there's any point in just remaking the perfect original movie, but a new take with a new group of gals busting heads in a spiritual sense? Genius!
And we're not the only ones who think so! O.G. G.B. Bill Murray may be hesitant to return to the franchise himself, but he's totally down with the lady Ghostbusters! He said:
"I'm fine with it. I would go to that movie, and they'd probably have better outfits, too."
But Bill isn't going to pass the protoplasmic torch to just anyone! He has some FANTASTIC choices to succeed the classics! His first pick? Same as ours! Melissa McCarthy! Bill says:
"Melissa would be a spectacular Ghostbuster. And Kristen Wiig is so funny — God, she's funny!
I like this girl Linda Cardellini a lot. And Emma Stone is funny. There are some funny girls out there."
Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Linda Cardellini, and Emma Stone??
That is some quality casting! We hope director Paul Feig is paying attention!
Why don't you just TAKE OUR MONEY NOW, BILL?? You can do it while you're checking our tickets! LOLz!
