Eff the haters! Blake Shelton is too busy basking in the glow of his new title of People’s Sexiest Man Alive to listen to the Internet’s confusion and outrage.
Giving his first post-sexy interview with Ellen DeGeneres, he explained just why he’s so excited:
“I have been fat and ugly my entire life. And if only for one year I get to be sexy, I am going to milk this for everything that it’s worth.”
Awww! We can’t argue with that!

He also says former Sexiest Man Alive Adam Levine is “not happy” about the whole thing, and that almost makes the whole thing worth it.
Of course, when he threatens to bring back the mullet, that is where we draw the damn line! LOLz!
