Baseball Announcer Bob Uecker Will Be Inducted Into Hall Of Fame

Bob Uecker
Congrats!
Veteran baseball announcer Bob Uecker, otherwise known as “Mr. Baseball”, will be inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame this spring!
The color commentator will be honored on April 17 in Las Vegas during the NAB’s National Convention.
Not only is Bob in his 42nd year announcing play-by-play action for the Milwaukee Brewers, but he was a catcher on the 1964 St. Louis Cardinals World Series Championship team!
Film fans will remember Bob from the Major League movies, in which he played an exaggerated version of himself as Cleveland Indians baseball announcer Harry Doyle, who easily delivered lines like:

“Just a reminder, fans, comin’ up is our “Die-hard Night” here at the stadium. Free admission to anyone who was actually alive the last time the Indians won a pennant.”

LOLz! Classic! This guy really is Mr. Baseball!
