Despite her claims on Instagram earlier this week, a source confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Friday that she has not moved to Mexico! But you never know! Maybe someday! However, per the outlet, it’s not happening right now!

Britney Spears has gone through a lot of huge changes this year!
She reconnected with her son Jayden last month. This week, her divorce from Sam Asghari became official. Now, she has moved! Yeah, she supposedly left California! In fact, she is nowhere in the States! Where did she go? The pop star claimed in a video posted to Instagram on Monday, the day of her 43rd birthday, that she is living in Mexico! And it’s all because of the paparazzi! She said:
“It really kind of hurts my feelings that the paparazzi make my face look like I’m wearing like a white Jason mask. It doesn’t even look like me. They’ve always been incredibly cruel to me, the paparazzi, in pictures. And the way they’ve illustrated me to be in some of it. I know I’m not perfect at all by any means, but some of it is extremely mean and cruel and that’s why I’ve moved to Mexico.”

Perezcious readers know that Britney often vacations in Mexico. The singer also hinted last month at her move in a since-deleted post on the ‘gram — around the same time reports dropped about her reuniting with Jayden after years of estrangement:
“My home is lovely but l’m a completely different person being away. I cry every time I leave there and it’s the funniest thing. It’s such a tiny place but it was my first time staying for two weeks. I actually nested and was not happy at all about leaving.”
We guess Britney was serious about this and moved! Wow! Or was she? Is the Toxic artist joking and only there for her birthday? According to a source for People on Tuesday, he “jetted off to Mexico with friends” in a private jet and “treated herself to a fun vacation for her birthday,” adding:
“She loves Mexico and can’t wait to celebrate in the sun.”
No mention of a move at all! So, it sounds like she is just there on a trip with pals! Unless she went with the intention of this only being a birthday vacay and then made up her mind to move once she got to Mexico? Hmm. Brit, we need some clarification stat!
