Jamie Spears Files Lawsuit Against #FreeBritney Ringleader For Allegedly Defaming Britney's Conservators!

Jamie Spears sues Free Britney ringleader

Britney Spears’ dad has had enough of you #FreeBritney supporters sullying his good name — and he’s coming for the mover and hash-tagger who started it all.
According to TMZ, Jamie Spears is suing on behalf of his daughter’s conservatorship, accusing Anthony Elia, the creator of the popular Absolute Britney blog, of defaming him and the rest of Brit’s team by making allegedly false claims about them on social media.
Elia has been one of the most vocal #FreeBritney protestors over the past few months, notably accusing the conservatorship of manipulating the pop icon’s Instagram account to make it seem like she needs help.

As we reported, Elia claimed that Spears’ team was deleting positive comments from her IG in order to highlight the more negative ones, creating the false illusion that the 37-year-old is doing a lot worse than she actually was. The superfan went as far to muse:

“This has to be a human right’s violation?”

The suit accuses Elia of falsely suggesting Britney’s team, per Jamie’s instructions, is “using her social media in a way to negatively portray her and do her harm.” What’s really bugging Jamie about the whole thing, though, is the fact that Elia made his remarks out of a “gut feeling,” according to the lawsuit.
Sources close to the Toxic singer tell the outlet that the recent con-Spears-ity theories created by Elia and other stans have gotten so out of hand that police have gotten involved. The insiders claim that death threats have been made to basically everyone in Britney’s camp, and law enforcement is taking many of those threats seriously.

As for the specific claims that Britney isn’t allowed to drive or use a personal cell phone, the sources say that’s simply not true; arguing that there are photos of her in her car and using her phone that disprove those rumors.
Of course, Britney does have some restrictions under her conservatorship, which Jamie recently requested to be enforced in the state of Louisiana: the songstress must must travel with a security escort at all times and is prohibited from going in places like liquor stores.
Other more serious allegations that galvanized the #FreeBritney movement were reportedly said by Brit herself to be true — like the fact that she was involuntarily checked into a mental health facility back in April and held there against her will.
But the mother-of-two has since made it clear that she calls the shots when it comes to the videos she posts on her IG page, so it sounds like this lawsuit is mostly about that.

The suit was filed by celeb attorney Larry Stein on behalf of Jamie, as the conservator of the Britney Spears Estate.
