Trouble in paradise Kentwood, Louisiana?
As of right now, we can confirm that Britney Spears and Jamie Lynn Spears are NOT following each other on Instagram — which is weird, to say the least, because the pair has definitely had each other’s backs very publicly in the past. But is family drama now creating a rift between the two sisters?! And should we expect more drama down the line with this crew???

Here’s what we know: Britney and Jamie Lynn, as of Thursday September 5 at around 1:00 p.m. ET, are definitely NOT following each other on IG. Go check for yourself! Obviously, it could be an Instagram glitch or something but, no, we doubt that. And here’s what we don’t know: why? Why did they unfollow each other? Who unfollowed first? Could it all be because of abuse allegations running through the family this week??
Obviously, as we’ve been reporting, the big news this week out of the Spears camp centers on new abuse allegations against the two sisters’ father, Jamie, over his alleged treatment of Britney’s sons. According to reports, the sons have moved quickly to get a restraining order against Grandpa, and it’s clear the allegations have caused a serious rift within the brood.
The whole thing is just short of crisis level already, apparently, and Britney is reportedly livid with her dad over the allegations, considering the fallout could seriously affect how much time she gets with her children moving forward. As we’ve reported, Brit and Kevin Federline recently went through a smooth custody agreement re-do that seemed to work for both parties… but after the Jamie news broke, Kevin’s custody time has already been bumped from 70% to 90% for both boys. Not great…

Obviously, these allegations are still being fleshed out amongst family (and media, for that matter), so there’s a lot of moving parts here.
According to The Metro, on Tuesday, Jamie Lynn did post a few throwback pics to her IG Stories from her early days on the red carpet alongside her mother, Lynne Spears. Do you think that could’ve set Brit off enough to unfollow her younger sister?? Jamie didn’t appear in the pictures posted by his youngest daughter, but still… was Jamie Lynn staking her claim with her parents there?!
