Life is lookin’ pretty sweet for Britney Spears!

The pop princess turned 38 years old young on Monday, and not only does she look great (natch!), she’s also doing really well right now!

In fact, to hear insiders tell all about her day-to-day life, it sounds like the Baby One More Time legend is doing the best she has in years! So great!!!

The legendary pop queen is celebrating her birthday in good spirits this week, and a source close to the artist just confirmed to ET everything is going “incredibly well” for the singer right now despite some tough times in her very recent past.

Twenty-five-year-old boyfriend Sam Asghari is a big reason Spears is riding high at this point in her life, as well as her vastly improved relationship with her two children, 14-year-old Sean and 13-year-old Jayden, from her previous relationship with Kevin Federline.

The insider reported more details about Spears’ recent resurgence, revealing:

“Britney has struggled to keep her life on track, but right now she’s been doing incredibly well. Her family is very proud of the steps she’s taken to get where she is today. Britney’s been following her doctor’s orders and is in a very stable place at the moment. She is trying to keep life simple and spend time with Sam [Asghari] and her kids [Sean and Jayden] whenever possible. She plans to spend her birthday with her boys. She wants to just have a nice time with family.”

Awww! So happy to hear that — and it’s truly such good, welcome news after so much family drama earlier this year!

Though he’s 13 years younger than the pop icon, Sam Asghari has proven to be a stabilizing factor in Britney’s recent resurgence as 2019 comes to an end. Happy for this lovely couple! / (c) Britney Spears/Instagram

And to think all this good news comes just eight months after the Lucky singer reportedly checked herself into a mental health facility, well, we’re so happy life has improved so quickly!

Sam’s the Man!

The singer’s relationship with Asghari has helped stabilize things in her life, too.

Once thought to be using Brit for her fame, Sam has risen to the occasion as her long-term boyfriend, according to the insider, and may one day become even more for her:

“Britney and Sam are truly happy together but he doesn’t want to rush marriage. He wants the best for her and they’re just enjoying their time together. Sam loves her and so does his family.”

So great!

The young, hunky actor showcased his long-time love for Spears on Monday morning with an adorably hilarious Instagram video of one of his not-so-smooth moments with his Louisiana luvvah (below):

That caption, though… that caption is everything! So freakin’ cute!!!

Comeback Crooner?

As the now-38-year-old lines up all her ducks in a proverbial row, there’s one more question her legions of fans still have: when will Brit get back up where she belongs — in the spotlight and on stage?

Well… it may still be a little while yet, according to this insider, who acknowledged that even though Spears has made tremendous progress in many areas of her life, she’s not quite ready to put certain pressures on herself again. The source revealed:

“While Britney has been talking about a new album there is no immediate plan to go back to work. People always wonder if her announced Vegas residency will ever happen, but it’s been a topic that everyone is shying away from at the moment to take off any pressures. They just want to make sure she is doing well.”

Understandable! We’re certain the music will come again in time.
