Bud Light Pulls Slogan After The Internet Lets Them Know It Promotes Date Rape

How did they not catch this?
Bud Light‘s latest ad campaign is definitely not going to win any awards anytime soon.
That’s because the brewing company recently ran a beer can that was adorned with a rather controversial slogan that basically promoted date rape.
When the internet got a hold of the cans, people were outraged that the Anheuser-Busch brand would make light of such a serious issue, forcing the line to be recalled.
The quote in question:

“The perfect beer for removing “no” from your vocabulary for the night #UpForWhatever”

Ummmmm… that’s not even slightly subtle!

While we assume that the beer company was trying to say that their product could lead to a fun night like their life-size game of Pac-Man from the Super Bowl, the implications say otherwise.
Activists and people who simply aren’t fans of assault let Bud Light know about the error of its ways, and the issue has been promptly fixed.
Anhueuser-Busch acknowledged its mishap on Twitter with an apology, saying:

We wonder which major corporation will screw up its public relations next!?
