Busy Philipps is one down to earth actress momma!
So when she talks about being a working actress as well as a momma to her two kids, Birdie, 5, and Cricket, 10 months, she manages to keep her foot out of her mouth — something Gwyneth Paltrow and her “film acting is harder for moms than a 9-5 job” seemed to get wrong.
Busy commented on Gwyneth’s choice to only do one film a year so she can be a better mom. Busy said:
“God bless her, she really just says what she feels. That’s her reality. That’s her truth. It’s just not mine. I have a different reality and a different truth.
I don’t ever feel like I have to stop myself from complaining about how hard it is to be an actress. I mean, it’s not that hard.”
Ha! Way to tell it like it is!
Maybe she’s just lucky, but she’s very open about the fact that her job just happens to work well really with her being a mom.
She continued:
“As a parent, I have it made. I’m on a TV show where my hiatus is [my kids’] summer, so I’m free to be with them in the summer time. I’m able to afford full-time help because of what I do. My husband also works, and my nanny makes my life doable and so easy.”
That’s so great! We’re glad that her life is carefree but we’re really glad how open and honest she is about it!
