A lot has been going on in Hollywood lately.
Not only did we all lose talented actor Philip Seymour Hoffman, but Dylan Farrow also came out and opened up about her accusations of Woody Allen molesting her as a child.
Cate Blanchett is actually connected to both people making headlines these days, and it seems it’s making her take a step back.
While she’s been cleaning up at awards shows, she’s also working to promote her new film Monuments Men. Unfortunately, that promotional work won’t be as extensive as planned because she’s canceling some TV interviews.
She reportedly bailed on interviews with Good Morning America and Live! With Kelly and Michael. Her rep commented on why this decision was made:
“[T]o allow Cate the time and privacy to grieve for the loss of her friend Philip Seymour Hoffman.”
And while Woody’s name wasn’t mentioned, we can’t help but think that his molestation scandal was involved considering she’s Oscar-nominated for his film Blue Jasmine.
Plus, she didn’t hold back throwing him shade recently at the Santa Barbara Film Festival.
We just hope she’s ready for all eyes to be on her at the Oscars.
