Cate Blanchett is making the Monuments Men press rounds and was recently asked what it was like working with Woody Allen and she related the experience to that of a strip club!
That’s an, errr, inneresting comparison!
In fact, with his whole molestation controversy with Dylan Farrow, it’s probably not the best time to compare the director to that!
The Blue Jasmine actress said:
“Well, working with Woody is like an emotional strip club without the cash. He├óΓé¼Γäós got the clarity of someone who has done stand-up for so many years. He just knows when a gag works and when it doesn├óΓé¼Γäót work, when a scene is moving or it├óΓé¼Γäós not moving. That can be quite brutal ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ but when Woody Allen calls you, you know you are going to say yes. You say yes before you even see the script.├óΓé¼┬¥
Well, at least she saved herself by giving him a compliment too?
Poor Cate, however, is pretty much stuck in the middle of this whole controversy.
We thought her statement the other day was pretty blasé, but what else can she do?
It’s not like she’s gonna go up there and refuse the Oscar if she wins!
