Back in December we learned that Mark Burnett is developing a singing competition series The Voice for NBC, which is based on the top-rated series from the Netherlands, The Voice of Holland.
Burnett and NBC are currently in talks with Cee-Lo Green and Maroon 5’s Adam Levine to join as judges.
There’s also SOME talk that Christina Aguilera could be joining the show as well…but that should just be considered a rumor at this point. Inneresting rumor though…
NBC is hoping to close deals with Green and Levine this week, and then they’ll sign on Xtina another judge next week.
As we mentioned before, The Voice’s format consists of four coaches who listen to, but don’t watch singers, and if they like the singer, they push a button that sends them to the next round, to be claimed as one of their “students.”
If the singer is liked by more than one judge/coach, the singer is allowed to choose which one will coach them, and then coaches will have teams go head-to-head against each other.
This sounds pretty cool…and we’d STILL love to join the show as a judge/coach. Ha!
Are U excited for this show? Would U like to see Cee-Lo Green and Adam Levine as judges?
