UPDATE: Chattahoochee Won’t Have To Euthanize Dogs

Earlier today, reports that the Chattahoochee Humane Society in Alabama would be forced to close it’s doors and would be left with no choice but to impound and eventually euthanize the dogs.
Fortunately, the surrounding cities agreed to contract with the humane society to keep it open for another six months while it tries to get more funding.
Sharon Hawkins, President of the Board of Directors for the Humane Society, is hopeful for the future of the dogs.

“We’ve had numerous rescue groups contact us, our citizens have come out and tried their best to foster or adopt our animals so we’re very pleased of the out-pour of love and support.”

It’s a fairy tale ending!
