Chris Brown has been detained by police in Paris after a woman alleges she was raped by the R&B star in a hotel.
According to TMZ, Brown has been in custody since Monday on potential charges of aggravated rape and narcotics offenses. Two others were detained by authorities, including one of Brown’s bodyguards.
French police are reportedly investigating the unidentified 24-year-old woman’s claims that after meeting the artist at the club Le Crystal on the night of January 15-16, she headed back to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel with the 29-year-old singer where she claims he raped her.

Breezy, on the other hand, says he couldn’t have raped the woman because he was apparently not in the room when the alleged incident went down.
Sources told The Blast that the Freaky Friday singer is claiming he’s innocent of the rape allegations, maintaining he was at the hotel on the night in question but had gone into a different room. Brown reportedly believes that if something did happen involving the accuser, he was not involved.
We’ll find out if investigators agree soon enough. Authorities apparently have two days to decide to file preliminary charges or release him.
