First Chris Hemsworth and his family almost get shipwrecked, and now he’s had to flee flash floods! This has to GOT to be Loki’s doing!
At the time of the flash flood yesterday, Chris had been filming in the Canary Islands for his upcoming movie In the Heart of the Sea, which tells the story of the sinking of a whaling ship in the 1800s, a whale of a tale that actually inspired Moby-Dick!
Now, it looks like this movie actually inspired mother nature’s wrath! We thought art was supposed to imitate life, not the other way around!
Under emergency orders from local authorities, the cast and crew were safely evacuated from La Gomera, but not before the film’s director Ron Howard documented the insane deluge on Twitter:
W/out incident trucks moved to hi ground & all cast & crew waded to cars (calf deep) & made it out b-4 roads closed pic.twitter.com/ofL0Xzt95i

Wow!! That looks terrifying! We’re happy Chris, and everyone involved in the film’s production made it out okay!
Apparently, the flash floods and mudslides that have been hitting the area have already taken five lives. This is just so sad.
