Thankfully, Chris Pratt had no fear when it came to asking his soon-to-be in-laws for their approval weeks before he proposed to fiancee Katherine Schwarzenegger.

A source told Us Weekly:
“Chris asked for Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger’s permission around Christmas… Maria helped him with the proposal.”
So old school! But we wouldn’t expect anything less from the devout movie star.
As we reported, the Jurassic World actor announced his engagement to the 29-year-old blogger on social media Sunday, writing that he was “proud to live boldly in faith” with his future bride.

The pic Pratt posted (above, insert) featured Kat’s gorgeous diamond ring that he proposed to her with — and it looks like he spared no expense.
WP Diamonds President Andrew Brown told E! News:
“The beautiful engagement ring Chris Pratt just used to propose to Katherine Schwarzenegger looks like a 5-carat cushion set in a Harry Winston-style micro pave halo. Assuming it is a high color-clarity combination, it would probably retail for $150-175k.”
Daddy’s approval? A massive rock? How could a girl say no?!
