Well, football fans definitely enjoyed that performance, regardless of which teams they root for!
Brad Paisley took a break from his hosting duties at the 2015 CMA Awards to perform his song Country Nation. The 43-year-old rocked the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville Wednesday night, surrounded by dozens of college football mascots.
In a classic country clich├â┬⌐, the crooner sang about — you guessed it — football! Because nothing unites the U.S.A. like sports!
However, we have to say, seeing all of those giant, furry creatures with lifeless eyes jamming out onstage while standing in sets of bleachers is the kind of thing nightmares and horror movies are made of.
The icing on the cake was probably when a giant Brad Paisley mascot emerged from backstage, joined by a bunch of backup dancers dressed up like cheerleaders.
The song was upbeat and fun, and certainly got the audience’s energy up, but we’re still a bit traumatized from seeing so many goofy costumes in the same place!
