Hollywood has lost another star.
As we previously reported, Partridge Family‘s David Cassidy passed away from organ failure on Tuesday while in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Unsurprisingly, as David was a beloved actor/musician in the industry, many of Cassidy’s peers have since taken to Twitter to mourn his passing.

In fact, everyone from Cassidy’s on-screen brother Danny Bonaduce to Harry Connick Jr. to Kevin Smith have weighed in on this sad news. And although David had his fair share of problems over the years, it seems his contemporaries are focusing on his incredible talent and the contributions he made to Tinseltown.
Be sure to take a look at the sweet tributes (below).
I️ have known, loved, and admired David Cassidy for 48 out of my 58 years. He has been as kind to me as any real brother could ever be. We’ve been through a lot together and he was always there for me. This loss is huge. RIP my dear friend. pic.twitter.com/eKdRyAuW2B

I’m very sad to hear about David Cassidy. There were times in the mid-1970s when he would come over to my house and we even started writing a song together. He was a very talented and nice person. Love & Mercy to David and his family.

I grew up in an era before even cable TV, when The Partridge Family was already in reruns. David Cassidy’s Keith was one of my favorite TV characters. He was legit funny AND he could sing. The man entertained me during my childhood and even years later: https://t.co/678DU7qTxh

“RIP David Cassidy” Who my age did not want to look like, sound like, just be him when they were young? I was lucky to get to know the sweet & very funny real David as an adult & I still wanted to be him.

However, it appears that David’s nephew, Jack Cassidy provided the most poignant online sentiment, as he wrote:
Thank you all for the love and support your giving my uncle, my family, and me… The responses have been sincerely beautiful!
