Demi Moore is providing a health update on her ex-husband.
On Thursday, The Substance star sat down with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour where she opened up about the current state of Bruce Willis’ battle with frontotemporal dementia. She revealed:
“Given the givens, he’s in a very stable place at the moment.”
That’s so reassuring to hear! FTD is a very serious progressive neurological disease which affects language, personality, memory, and more. But just because his condition is stable doesn’t make it any less “difficult” for the family. He and Demi share daughters Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, while he shares two young daughters Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with current wife Emma Heming, 46. The Striptease star told the news org:
“I’ve shared this before but I really mean this so sincerely; it’s, like, so important for anybody who’s dealing with this to really meet them where they’re at. And from that place there is such loving and joy. Obviously it’s very difficult and it’s not what I would wish upon anyone, and there is great loss, but there is also great beauty.”
