Derek Jeter reached a career milestone and made sports history when he hit his 3,000th professional baseball against the Tampa Bay Rays earlier this month.
On July 28th we’ll get an extensive look at the New York Yankee shortstop’s pursuit of the accomplishment when HBO airs the documentary Derek Jeter 3K.
According to sources, the The MLB Productions and HBO-produced one-hour special offers footage of Jeter both at and away from the ballpark, while also highlighting two games during which Jeter wore a microphone.
Luckily, one of those two games was the one where he smacked his 3,000th hit out of the park for a home run!
Sounds like a must-see special for Yankee fans everywhere!
