Dr. Luke is now demanding to have access to Kesha‘s medical records.
According to Page Six, this is an effort to disprove the True Colors singer’s claim that the Kemosabe Records label head sexually and verbally assaulted her.
But what could the release of these records mean for other victims of sexual assault?

In a filing on Tuesday, Luke’s camp said the 29-year-old “unambiguously waived” any therapist-patient privilege after trying to get out of her music contract by citing “physical, emotional and sexual trauma inflicted by Mr. Gottwald.”
Kesha’s attorneys argued against the filing saying that the purpose of the privilege is to protect “a person’s innermost thoughts and feelings” — not to mention the damage violating the privilege could have on other rape victims’ records in the future.
A Manhattan judge will rule which way to go on this one.
