She’s had some BAD luck with money!
Waaaay back in January, we heard reports that Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife Nicole Murphy had blown every penny of her $15 million divorce settlement!
At the time, we had also heard that she owed $836K in back taxes to the IRS, as well as $600K to a law firm, $60K to a landscaping firm, and $5 MILLION on her LA home!
Now, we’re hearing that Nicole has been scammed out of $7 million by Tony Stratos, a man who claimed to be her financial manager…but really just stole a massive chunk of her money.
She’s of course pursuing legal action against him, and according to court documents, Stratos told her he invested millions of dollars overseas, but he actually transferred the bulk of the money to his personal accounts.
He also claimed he was trying to sell her Granite Bay, CA home…but he was really just living there rent-free while leasing out luxury cars with her $$$. Yikes.
Given all the alleged money troubles that Nicole was having back in January, we’d say this was the LAST thing she needed right now! Just awful!
