What’s higher? A knight or a Boss?
Well, according to Elton John, it’s the Boss himself Bruce Springsteen!
And MusiCares agrees! The charity is naming Bruce its Person of the Year for his work in support of Hurricane Sandy relief. CEO Neil Portnow says:
“Bruce Springsteen is a truly gifted and Renaissance artist of our time, a national treasure, and an exemplary humanitarian. His career is a testament to the power of creative excellence, and his contributions as a philanthropist speak to the tenacity of the human spirit.”
Previous Person of the Year recipient Sir Elton is leading the cavalcade of stars that are coming out to pay tribute to the philanthropist singer-songwriter.
Other acts playing at the February 8th concert include Sting, Mumford & Sons, John Legend, and Faith Hill.
The Daily Show host Jon Stewart, a huge fan himself, will proudly host the El Lay event.
