Wow. Hearing your best friend kill his wife and shoot himself over the phone sounds like one of the most traumatizing things you could ever go through.
In a sit down with LAPD that lasted for two hours on Wednesday, Floyd Mayweather Jr. told detectives that he attempted to convince his good friend, rapper Earl Hayes, to not commit suicide.

Law enforcement sources have said that Floyd was on FaceTime with Earl on Monday morning when he walked away, and into the bathroom where he allegedly shot his wife, Stephanie Moseley, multiple times.
Floyd told authorities that after Earl allegedly fired rounds into his wife, he came back on the phone and told Floyd that he was going to kill himself.
Although Floyd begged him not to, Earl ended up taking his own life.
Floyd told detectives that even though he and Earl were discussing Stephanie’s infidelity, he firmly denied riling him up.
In addition, Floyd told detectives that the reason why Earl called him at 7 a.m. was because the two were best friends, and that the rapper was trying to say goodbye.
This is just so sad.
