Michael Patrick has sadly passed away.
At just 35 years old, the actor, who appeared in one episode of Game of Thrones in 2016, has passed away. His wife Naomi Sheehan announced the sad news on Instagram on Wednesday, revealing:
“Last night, Mick sadly passed away in the Northern Ireland Hospice.”

She went on to detail that Michael was diagnosed with “Motor Neurone Disease,” more commonly known as ALS, in 2023, and “was admitted 10 days ago and was cared for by the incredible team there. He passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends.”
So, so sad.
For those who don’t know, ALS is a “nervous system disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord,” which over time affects speech and mobility, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Naomi added in her message:
“Words can’t describe how broken-hearted we are. It’s been said more than once that Mick was an inspiration to everyone who was privileged enough to come into contact with him, not just in the past few years during his illness but in every day of his life. He lived a life as full as any human can live. Joy, abundance of spirit, infectious laughter. A titan of a ginger haired man.”
