The Good German star bewildered a businessman at the next table by singing a tune from O Brother, Where Art Thou? unexpectedly paying his $130 tab!!
The reason? George feared he and his party were annoyingly loud, and this was his way of apologizing.
Whoa!! How nice!!
The pleasantly surprised German said:
“That’s not true at all. They had behaved in a very cultivated manner. I was stunned.”
We are stunned too!!
Most people would trade their favorite kidney to devour a slice of German Chocolate Cake-Cake-Cake next to the delicious actor, but this dude got his meal comped!!
George won’t be saying auf Wiedersehen to Deutschland for quite sometime; he’s there filming The Monuments Men with Cate Blanchett, Matt Damon, and the epically awesome Bill Murray.
