Gerard Butler and Channing Tatum are in a race for the White House!
Wait, what???
Both fine absters actors are starring in 2013 films where they have to save the White House from terrorists, but one may be safe a little bit sooner.
Gerard’s Olympus Has Fallen has been moved up from an April release to March 22.
Supposedly they’re afraid of competing with the Channing vehicle White House Down.
Movie ideas have a way of getting, er, repurposed in Hollywood, and common wisdom says the first to premiere usually does better, though starpower is clearly still a factor.
Snow White And The Huntsman with Kristin Stewart beat Mirror, Mirror in 2012, despite being released months later.
Only time- and money- will tell which of the two action flicks succeeds. We just hope they find some reason to take off their shirts while they’re saving the world! Then everybody wins!
