Grey's Anatomy Cast Signs On For More Without Show Being Renewed

Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes must be feeling pretty confident, seeing as although the show STILL has yet to be renewed, six cast members have already signed new 2-year deals!
We guess that’s a good sign, but what is taking ABC so long…?
Reportedly, Ellen Pompeo (Meredith), Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy Derek) and Sandra Oh (Cristina) will all be returning for the show’s ninth season!
Other cast members also officially returning? Justin Chambers (Alex), James Pickens, Jr. (Richard) and Chandra Wilson (Miranda)!!!
Phew! What would the show do WITHOUT these guys???
Though she’s feeling pretty good about Grey’s, Shonda’s spinoff Private Practice is also yet to be renewed, though rumored next season may be its final one.
Rhimes says:

“I’m never going to say that I absolutely know it’s coming back until the network tells me that it’s coming back but… I refused to go with the idea that this was the end of the show.├óΓé¼┬¥

Hmmm…it├óΓé¼Γäóll be interesting then to see if ABC really does bring the spinoff series back for a sixth season…and if the network will finally renew Grey├óΓé¼Γäós!!!
Enjoy it while you can — the season five finale of Private Practice airs the 15th and Grey’s finale airs the 17th!
