Hailey Bieber is the subject of the cover story of Vogue Australia‘s newest issue, and she delivered the goods like a pro this month!
The 22-year-old model opened up to the mag about what everybody wants to know — her marriage to Justin Bieber — as well as a few things readers didn’t know they needed to know — like how Hailey feels inferior to Kendall Jenner!

There’s plenty to take in here from the former Ms. Baldwin — not the least of which is her mature take on marriage, and how the past year with her pop prince has changed the way she views love and commitment!
Making A Marriage
The young wife said (below):
“Look, marriage is always going to be hard and I think good relationships are the relationships that you put the work into. Specifically, I said that there were a lot of new things. I had never lived with someone before. I never had to cohabit with somebody in that way, so I was learning how to share space with someone for the first time. We were trying to bend in each other’s direction and learn what was comfortable. Now it’s easier because we’ve found a rhythm. We have more fun together, which is what should happen when you spend more time with someone you love.”
We can’t argue with that!
The young Baldwin daughter, who further noted how “if you don’t want to compromise, you can’t be in a relationship,” also relayed some new info to the mag about Justin’s downtime and mental health.
She revealed a love for the great outdoors up north has kept them grounded (below):
“In Canada, we have a really private place, a big property, and Justin’s from there so I feel like he feels more comfortable. We have a bunch of four-wheelers and it’s quiet and we just hang out. We spent Thanksgiving and Christmas there last year, because the winter is especially pretty. I cook a lot.”

There’s no question her pop star spouse has become super introspective in the past few years… maybe having access to something like that a couple times a year has helped trigger a look into himself!
Model Moves
The interview moves well beyond Justin and the pair’s young relationship, though. Arguably, the most interesting ground Hailey covered here was actually about her modeling career! At just five-foot, eight inches, she’s shorter than most runway models — and she knows it.
In fact, to her credit, she’s had to push hard through that within the industry and find her own fit. As she acknowledges, that took quite a while. The sultry star said (below):
“My burn in the modeling industry has been slow and I’ve had to learn to be OK with that. I’m shorter than most of the girls. Even though I’m five-foot-eight, I’m not a runway girl and I totally used to feel inferior to some of my friends. Look at Kendall [Jenner] and Bells [Bella Hadid] and Gigi [Hadid]… they’re all tall and doing every runway. It was disappointing until I found my own lane. I don’t look short in photos. You can make it work and not have to do runway, and I’ve done a good job with that. I’m proud of myself for building a more commercial career that worked for me and being confident about it. I’ve hosted a show, I did major American campaigns, and a bunch of other things that I’ve really enjoyed. Sometimes I feel like I’m still finding my lane, but now I know I’m going in the right direction.”

One Year On…
As you all know by now, Justin and Hailey are now about a year into this whole marriage game already. That doesn’t mean they are experts, of course! And they’re still figuring out exactly how to do their “real” wedding, which is apparently going down in South Carolina some time this month.
But as far as the government is concerned, they’re already hitched — and more importantly, as far as they are concerned, the commitment has already been made. Now, it sounds like they’re just trying to live it out right! Hey, here’s to them… we continue to wish these two all the love and happiness in the world! Marriage ain’t easy, but if you work at it, you can make it all worth it!!!
