Indiana just passed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act after Governor Mike Pence signed it into law, and people are not happy!
Why?
Because the thrust of the new law is that businesses are now legally free to discriminate based on sexual orientation and gender identity as long as they claim their religion is against it.

But not all businesses want to turn people away based on prejudice. The NCAA and Gen Con have already threatened to lessen their presence or pull out of the state entirely.
Yep, the jocks AND the nerds are against it! LOLz!
But those aren’t the only strange bedfellows this deplorable bill is making! Celebs from Miley Cyrus to Hillary Clinton have come out against the law on social media.
See some of the best responses (below):
You’re an asshole @govpenceIN ├ó┼ô┼Æ├»┬╕┬Å-1 cc: the only place that has more idiots that Instagram is in politics @braisoncwukong thank you for standing up for what is right! Indiana’s anti-gay ‘Religious Freedom’ bill signed by Gov. Pence is absurd & insulting. This is 2015. Ridiculous. #RFRA

Given what happened in Indiana, it’s time for this #ThrowbackThursday, along with what I tweeted about 4 years ago… pic.twitter.com/BI8CB60bVn

And as for that Leviticus passage, read the whole book & then tell me if you think every rule in there should be protected under the law.

I can now legally be denied service in Indiana because I am gay, or Jewish? Am I right, @GovPenceIN? Sounds like a fun place to visit!

But our fave reaction may be Audra McDonald, who blasted Indiana Governor Mike Pence personally, writing:
.@GovPenceIN Some in my band are gay & we have 2 gigs in your state next month. Should we call ahead to make sure the hotel accepts us all?
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
.@GovPenceIN or could you maybe send us a list of where its okay for us to go? Might the law apply to me?(I’m black).
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
.@GovPenceIN or maybe I should fire my gay band members just to be on the safe side.
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
.@GovPenceIN Or MAYBE…we need to stick to singing in states that don’t legislate hate?
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
.@GovPenceIN Or MAYBE I donate the money I make in your state while Im there to organizations that will combat your hateful legislation.
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
.@GovPenceIN Yep. That’s what I’ll do. Hey @HRC get ready for a little money coming your way from Indiana via me to you! Have at it!
— Audra McDonald (@AudraEqualityMc) March 26, 2015
