James Corden is opening up about his experience with Ozepmic.
During the latest episode of his This Life of Mine podcast, the former Late Late Show host got candid about his journey trying to lose weight. But unfortunately for him, Ozempic didn’t work — because his struggle with food addiction extends beyond the solutions the drug offers.
In conversation with Richard Osman, the 46-year-old confessed:
“I tried Ozempic, and it won’t be surprising to you when you look at me now, that it didn’t really work. I tried it for a bit and then what I realized was I was like, ‘Oh no, nothing about my eating has anything to do with being hungry.’ All this does is make you feel not hungry. But I am very rarely eating [just because of hunger].”
How sad! Food addiction, like any other addiction, is caused by a trigger of feel-good chemicals in the brain. So like he said, food addiction isn’t the result of hunger, but the brains of sufferers literally craving a fix.

He added:
“You are looking at someone who’s eaten a king size, and when I say king size [Cadbury] Dairy Milk — one you give someone for Christmas — in a carwash. None of that was like, ‘Oh, I’m so hungry’. It is not that, it’s something else.”
Ozempic, for those who don’t know, is an appetite suppressant. So it works by helped users to reduce thoughts about hunger. But when the problem extends beyond hunger, then you may find yourself in the company of James!
