You put up a decent fight girl, but ratings are more powerful than threats in TV land!
Despite putting up a bitch fit like no other, Kat Von D has lost against the execs at TLC in her fight to keep her highly-publicized relationship with Jesse James off of L.A. Ink. Sources claim that footage of the pair will be included in tonight’s season finale.
We’re hearing that Kat outright demanded that they omit Jesse from any and all episodes of the show, threatening to pull out of future ventures with the network if they went ahead with it. But Ink execs claim that ignoring her high-profile relationship would be “sacrificing the integrity of the show.”
That translates to: we need the ratings, so shut it!
And shut it she must because earlier today we reported that her show got picked up for another eight episodes. We assume a compromise was agreed upon, but all we know of it is that she got more screen time and an agreement that certain footage of Kat chewing out one of her other ex-boyfriends, Nikki Sixx, would be cut from the show completely.
We’re grabbing some popcorn and settling in to see you and Jesse James break-up on TV!
